Trowbridge Museum

Wednesday 30 May 2012

The town of Trowbridge was a renowned centre for the production of woollen cloth and at its height of prosperity in the 19th century was known as the ‘Manchester of the West’.

The museum is housed in Home Mills and has working looms, which still produce woollen cloth.

The report on this event is included in the Autumn 2012 issue of WECS Wardrobe.
